Join us in creating a safe, faith-guided space for young children in need.
At Children of the Promise Place, we provide emergency, short-term care for children who have been removed from unsafe environments and are entering the foster care system — many of them as young as newborns.
We’re creating a safe, faith-rooted home where children can feel love, comfort, and stability during a time of fear and uncertainty.
Our goal is to give each child what they need to exhale, feel human again, and know they are deeply loved — even when the world around them feels broken.
“He was wearing clothes three sizes too small, crying because he hadn’t eaten in two days. He was 18 months old.”
“She came into care after being found in an abandoned apartment. She was only four.”
“One was just a newborn — discharged from the hospital into the arms of strangers, with no home to go to.”
These aren’t stories from movies. They’re real children, right here in our own community.
Every single day in Florida, children are removed from dangerous homes, often in the middle of the night, with only the clothes on their backs. There are not enough safe placements — and so many end up in hospitals, shelters, or offices while they wait.
They sit on plastic chairs in government buildings, holding trash bags filled with what little they own. Some cry. Some go silent. Some haven’t been held in days. There’s no one to rock them to sleep. No familiar face to say their name with love. And as the hours pass — sometimes days — these children wait, unseen and unheard, for someone to choose them. For someone to care.
We believe that is not okay.
We believe that God weeps when a child cries alone.
We believe in answering that pain with presence, comfort, and safety.
Children of the Promise Place exists because no child should feel forgotten.
Because every child deserves to feel the softness of a clean bed.
The warmth of a meal made with care.
The calm of someone whispering, “You’re safe now.”
This is why we do what we do.
This is the promise we are working to keep — one child at a time.
